I'm a husband, father, psychologist, musician, and crossword constructor living in Catonsville, MD. My puzzles have appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times and its syndicates, The Chronicle of Higher Education, Andrews McMeel Universal Syndicate, the American Values Club Crossword, and crossword apps such as the Redstone Crossword Puzzle App on iOS and Google Play. All of that means I've been published in every newspaper in the United States and many others around the world. And now I've been published here at Grid Therapy, which allows me the freedom to let who I am shine through. I hope you enjoy your time here on the crossword couch! I'd love to hear from you if you have comments or suggestions. If you're interested in having a custom crossword puzzle created for your event or organization, email me at drtrent (at) gmail.com.
You’re welcome Mike. I’m happy to give folks some distraction. I’m glad that most of you are ok with me breaking the puzzle world’s rule that constructors shouldn’t express an opinion. I wear as a badge of honor the fact that I’ve had to fulfill a few requests from people who want to be removed from my email list.

For the last week or so I haven’t received the puzzle on this page, just a gray rectangle where the puzzle should be with a sad face in the center. I was able to get the puzzles before whatever happened. Hope we can fix the problem–I really like solving your puzzles! Well, I used to!
Oh no! I just went and checked and everything is working for me when I checked it on my phone, iPad, and laptop. I wish I knew what to tell you. I hope you can at least click the link to download the .puz file or the PDF. If those don’t work, feel free to email me at drtrent (at) gmail dot com and I can send you a .puz or a PDF as an attachment.
Somehow I missed seeing this one when you sent it out. Pandemic brain perhaps. I enjoyed solving it very much, and that was indeed a wonderful photo. I stand with all those who are very happy that you express your opinions in your crosswords. I can understand that those who feel differently might decline the puzzles, and that’s too bad. But so it goes.
Thank you Shari. I have indeed had a few people ask to be removed from the list. I regret that, but I think one of the benefits of indie puzzles is that we can have a very sharp and specific voice that the NYT and others could not publish. I don’t want to make people upset. But I expect no payment from this and therefore I will express myself in whatever way I see fit. For the most part I think crossword solvers are on my wavelength. I do try to balance the freedom to do whatever the hell I want with the general ethos of crosswords to be diversions. Sometimes though I think it’s important to make a statement. I’m learning where the line is. And I appreciate all of you who tolerate my experimentation.
This downloads a .puz, not a pdf.
Sorry about that. Fixed.
Great puzzle as always!!
Thanks so much Ralph! I’m glad you liked it.
Enjoyed! Thank you for the fun theme and clues.

Nice puzzle, thank you.
Adding to the chorus of thanks-I-enjoyed-this. And yes, great photo.
